Accra – The Black Stars have commenced preparations for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Chad and Mali.
In a high-stake clash, the West African powerhouse will travel to face Chad on September 4 before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
Otto Addo, head of the national team handed invite to 24 players, with a chunk of the squad having already reported to camp. Several key players, including Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, and Elisha Owusu, have already reported to camp.
The team will hold its first training session on Monday afternoon, September 1, which will be open to both the media and fans.
On Tuesday, September 2, however, training will be held behind closed doors before the squad departs for Chad later in the evening.
After six matches, Ghana sits at the top of Group I with 15 points, three ahead of Comoros and five clear of Madagascar, as they aim to secure a fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.
