Boakye Agyarko, the NPP’s chairman candidate, has declared the beginning of his campaign to take the party’s helm.
He asserts that rather of dividing the political party, this tour competition should strengthen it.
According to him, the competition need to focus on brainstorming and selecting the most qualified candidates to guide the political party through its rebranding process.
Boakye Agyarko took use of the occasion to remind New Patriotic Party members that discipline has been the party’s strength and that it will be necessary to maintain it.
Boakye Agyarko, also known as Torino, was urged to run for the chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party by some of the party’s chairmen, who dissuaded him from running for flagbearership.

After giving their request some thought, Boakye Agyarko decided against running for flagbearership and has since announced his plan to seek for the party’s presidency.
He stated that his campaign to become chairman will begin on February 24, 2026, in a social media post.
In an attempt to sell his vision for the political party, the potential chairman is anticipated to travel to each of the 16 areas. Where the tour will start is unclear, though.
His post announcing the tour said, “Dear Delegate of the New Patriotic Party, let’s begin the journey of HOPE! Let’s do this together.”
