Cashew farmers in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East region have pleaded with the government to fix their deplorable road to help in the easy access of transportation.
They are, also calling on the government to provide them with a warehouse to keep their cashew beans for a long time.
According to the Public Relations Officer for the traditional authority, Nana Baffoe Pim said the town of Amoma is the best when it comes to Cashew beans as they produce more beans in the region but the road leading to Techiman is very poor.
They are, therefore, appealing to the government to come to their aid and fix the deplorable road before the inception of the rainy season.
Mr. Agyemang Kodom, the Chairman of the Association also urged farmers to dry the cashew beans to get their quality and also pleaded with the Ghana Standard Authority to help them with a standard scale to take the Goro boys out of operations.
