There is a serious confusion in the Techiman North Constituency of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Bono East region a few days after their elections over the selection or appointments of additional executives, as two separate lists of the appointees have popped up from party leadership.
Per Article 7 Clause 12 of the New Patriotic Party’s Constitution, after 14 days of the election of Constituency Executives, the 10 elected are to appointment 7 other executives to form a full team to steer the affairs of the party and this has sparked serious confusion due to division amongst the executives.
Confirming the development of events, Mr Stephen Appiagyei Donkor, the newly elected Techiman North Constituency NPP Chairman said, it was as a result of sabotage that some executives have ganged up against him to release a new list of appointed executives contrary to what he sanctioned.
He affirmed the list of appointed exercises he has put out is the authentic one and any other list circulating in the Media cycle is fake therefore party faithful should remain calm and rally behind the party’s grand agenda of breaking the eight come 2024 and recapture the Techiman North Parliamentary seat they lost to the opposition NDC.
Meanwhile, Mr. Gabriel Attah Ackah Snr, the newly elected Techiman North Constituency Youth Organizer and acting Communications Officer who came out with another list to counter that of the Chairman called the bluff of Mr Appiagyei saying he cannot use his veto power to make appointments without the approval of the entire executives.
