Sources indicate that residents of Odumase-Akonkonti Community in the Nkoranza North District of the Bono East region, have declared war against nananom for allowing Fulani herdsmen to invade their lands and destroy their produce.
According to the Assembly Member for Odumase-Akonkonti electoral area, Hon Collins Adu Takyi, Fulani herdsmen are using cattle to destroy their farms and has given the traditional authority an ultimatum to evacuate them or face their wrath.
Hon Collins Adu Takyi called on the government and relevant authorities to intervene on the matter immediately to do away with any unforeseen incidents in the future.
“We can’t sit down for these Fulani men to destroy our hard-earned farm produce. Authorities must intervene now or be ready to face our anger” some aggrieved farmers lamented.
