The Bono East Region is set to get the second Teacher Training College at Tuobodom in addition to the Atebubu Training College through the initiative of opposition NDC Member of Parliament for Techiman North Constituency, Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.
Speaking at a short sod-cutting ceremony at Tuobodom to begin the construction of the St. Dominic College of Education, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare said the project was in collaboration with the Roman Catholic Church and accreditation, funds for infrastructure and logistics for the school are all readily available through her personal resource mobilization.
She said, the Teacher Training project comes to fulfill her campaign promise to establish such a College at the western part of the Bono East Region so that apart from her Constituents enjoying the economic benefits of the school, Students from Techiman North and nearby Districts seeking higher education would not have to travel far and wide.
For his part, Most Rev. Dominic Yeboah Nyarko, Bishop of the Techiman Diocese of Roman Catholic Church thanked Nananom of Techiman for giving them lands to release part to the MP for this project and urged all Stakeholders to support the school devoid of partisan politics in order to attain its full benefits when completed.
Mr. Unas Owusu affectionately called “Unasco” the Bono East Regional NDC Chairman urged the good People of Techiman North Constituency to rally behind the MP and also vote massively for the NDC in the 2024 general elections for more developmental projects.
