The Assembly Member for Akontanim Atanofi Electoral Area in the Dormaa East District of the Bono region, Hon Samuel Donkor, has complained about lack of water facility in the Akontanim Clinic.
He revealed the situation is detrimental to quality healthcare delivery and the well-being of nurses and the entire staff of the clinic.
According to the Assembly Member, a dug out well is the only source of water in the Akontanim which serves community members, nurses and patients.
He, therefore, indicated that the delay in the process of fetching water from the well always affects healthcare delivery hence the need for immediate government assistance to eradicate the challenges to enhance quality health care delivery.
The Assembly Member added that, the entire Akontanim community also lack a toilet facility, needs electricity extension, faced with network challenges and lacks other social amenities which sometimes cause a lot of inconveniences among the people.
