Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo has revealed his admiration for Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan.
Gyan is a household name because of his exploits for the Black Stars. The forward who last played for the Black Stars in 2019 scored a record 51 goals in 109 appearances.
Since the omission of Gyan from the national team, Ghana have struggled to get a prominent striker to fill his boots.
Speaking to Ghanaweb, Semenyo disclosed he wants to be like Asamoah Gyan.
“I used to watch him when he came to AFCON competitions and the World Cup. He was such a big player and I dream to be exactly like him”
Since making his debut for Ghana last year, the former Bristol City player has scored two goals.
Semenyo currently plies his trade for English Premier League side Bournemouth but is yet to find the back of the net since his arrival in January.
