The incident occurred Wednesday, March 19, 2020, at Mamakope a fishing community near Atimpoku in the Eastern Region.
The body of the deceased, Ayuba Zebelo, has been deposited at the VRA Hospital.
Mybrytfmonline.com has gathered that the deceased boy went swimming with his 15-year-old friend when the incident happens.
Local fishermen quickly dived in an attempt to rescue him but were pronounced dead on arrival at the VRA Hospital.
