There is fire outbrea upk at Brentford Academy school in Two -Streams a suburb of Koforidua in Eastern regional capital.
The fire outbreak started around 5:50pm Saturday February 25,2023 from the storeroom of the school.
Residents near the school saw smoke billowing from the room and subsequently flames erupted .
Fire service personnel however arrived 15 minutes later at the scene with their weak fire tender but managed to douse the fire.
The hose of the tender was leaking in multiple portions reducing the water pressure but the fire fighters climbed the walls to extinguish the fire preventing it from spreading into the main classroom block of the school.
Books in the store room have been destroyed.
Fire firefighters have entered the store room to fire the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been immediately established but highly suspected to be electrical fault.
