The Deputy Technical Director at the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr. Saka Acquaye has passed on.
The veteran sports administrator was popularly called ‘Fishery’ died on Wednesday 24th June 2020 at the 37 military hospitals after a short illness.
He was a former swimmer as well as a handball enthusiast. He achieved a lot during his days as a sportsperson and administrator.
Aside from his numerous achievements, Mr. Acquaye would be remembered with his famous high moral chant ‘Team Ghana, Awooa!!‘.
Reports suggest that the late Saka Acquaye was 59.
