Owner and bankroller of Brekum Chelsea, Obed Nana Kwame Nketiah has revealed that his outfit is set to engage Asante Kotoko over a possible transfer of their goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim for the forthcoming season.
The Ghana Premier League is set to return next month after the President, Nana Akufo-Addo lifted the ban on contact sports in his 17th address to the nation.
It is believed a chunk of premier league clubs will augment their squad before the commencement of the 2020/2021 season and according to the President of the Biribes boys, they will engage the porcupine warriors to see if they can release their goalkeeper on loan or sell him outright to them.
Danlad spent the last term on loan at the Biribes lads and had a tremendous campaign before the season was annulled due to coronavirus pandemic.
The former Ghana U-17 goalie held the longest clean sheet streak of six matches without conceding a goal.
He has returned to his parent club at the expiration of his loan deal.
Speaking to Sunyani based Nimdee FM, he said, “We will engage Kotoko to see if they will be willing to release him [Danlad] to us on loan again or sell him to us outright”
Kotoko could farm out the Ghana U20 shot-stopper with the availability of other three goalkeepers namely Kwame Baah, Felix Annan and Osei Kwame.
Danlad had a tremendous campaign with Berekum Chelsea He featured fourteen times for Berekum Chelsea in the cancelled season.
