The Eastern Regional chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has officially been inaugurated with the President of SWAG, Kwabena Yeboah and his entourage officially inducts the regional team into office.
The short but very impressive ceremony saw renowned Sports Journalist, Kwaku Sarpong Sarkodie “Spanky”, of Bryt FM one of the stations under Joy Daddy Multimedia been appointed as the Regional Chairman of the Association and will be deputized by Eugene Kumi Abbrey.
Sarkodie, who currently works with Koforidua based Bryt FM has over ten years of experience on the job and is expected to lead the association and bring his rich experiences on board.
He has had a stint with GBC Sunrise FM before his move to Bryt FM.
Kwasi Baah Duodu and Israel Osei Asante will be working as the secretary and assistant secretary respectively.
Ferdinand Akuffo was also named as treasurer.
Other executives include Kenneth Oliver who will serve as the organizer for the Association and Benjamin Akoto as executive members.
The seven-member Eastern Regional board is expected to steer affairs in the next two years.
