The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Hon. Michael Okere Baafi, has expressed deep sadness over the death of Bryt FM producer, Lawrence Mensah, well known as Cardinal, who suddenly passed on Thursday.
Speaking after hearing the news on Bryt FM, Hon. Okere Baafi said he was unhappy and worried by the sudden loss. He noted that the death of the late producer had affected him greatly and prayed that his soul would rest in perfect peace. According to the MP, God knows best, and as humans, there is no reason to question His will.
Also mourning the late producer was the morning show host on Bryt FM’s Adekyee Mu Nsem, Kwamina Sam Biney.
He described Cardinal as a highly dedicated and hardworking producer who always went beyond his assigned duties to ensure quality production.
Kwamina Sam Biney recalled that during the burial of the late Omane Boamah at Jackson Park, Cardinal was present to monitor activities as part of his production work.
He added that the late producer returned to the studio the following Monday to present a comprehensive report on the event.
He further disclosed that the late producer’s real name was Lawrence Kwasi Mansah, who later added the name Cardinal. Kwamina Sam Biney said they had worked together for about 20 years, starting their radio careers at Kesben fm, Angel FM before moving together to Bryt FM.
According to him, the news of Cardinal’s death, which broke on a Thursday afternoon, came as a huge shock to the Bryt FM family.
He expressed profound sadness over the loss and prayed that the soul of the late producer would rest in perfect peace.
Others staff also took turn to pay tribute to the astute producer for his hard work and dedication.
