Mother of Nana Asiedu Keteke, news anchor at Bryt fm Obaapayin Grace Koomson, popularly known as Akua Nkumah, has passed away.
Obaapayin Grace Koomson died on Tuesday, 6th January 2026, at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital after a short illness. She was 75 years old at the time of her death.
She was born on Wednesday, 7th March 1951, at Agona Asafo in the Agona East District of the Central Region. Obaapayin Grace Koomson began her early education at Agona Asafo L/A 1Primary School, where she completed her elementary schooling up to the junior high level.
Following the early demise of her parents, she was compelled to discontinue her education and venture into trading to support herself and her family. Through hard work and determination, she became well known in her community for her dedication and resilience.
She is survived by five children and several relatives.
Her death has brought deep sorrow to the people of Agona Asafo and the entire Agona East District, where she was respected for her strength, humility, and contribution to community life.
Meanwhile, his son, Nana Asiedu Keteke who is also the Twafohene for Awukugua traditional Council is currently in grief as he mourns the passing of her dear mum.
