Dr. Rashid Tanko, the deputy Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has emphasized it took the party extra vigilance to identify anomalies with ballot papers that were earmarked for both Ahafo and Volta regions.
The EC on Sunday, 17th November, 2024 released a statement indicated that both presidential and parliamentary ballot papers for the above-mentioned regions were destroyed by burning after realizing anomalies with the serial numbers.
According to the EC, the destruction was monitored by agents of the political parties, the NIB, National Security, Ghana Police Service and the EC.
Responding to the statement on Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem with Kwamina Sam Biney, Dr. Tanko could not fault the EC for the anomalies but was quick to add that the NDC would continue to be vigilant to ensure the aid down processes are well followed.
He added the NDC is determined to winning the December polls and, therefore, will do everything possible to redeem Ghana from the current NPP government
