The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Frank Amoakohene, has disclosed the NDC will snatch Kumawu parliamentary seat during by-election. from the NPP.
To him, the Kumawu branch of the NDC is readying for a by-election.
Mr Amoakohene said that NDC can take over the seat with hard work and unity in the Constituency.
He appealed to the people of Kumawu to rally behind the NDC and support them with overwhelming votes.
Mr Amoakohene also expressed his condolences to the family, the wife and children of late MP Philip Atta Basoah, as well as the people of Kumawu.
This follows the death of the incumbent MP Philip Atta Basoah last Tuesday after a short illness.
Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bgabin has declared the Kumawu seat vacant last week in parliament.
The Speaker of Parliament has, therefore, directed the Electoral Commission (EC) to put in place measures for a by-election.
