Black Stars head coach Charles Akonnor is happy with the progress of the team despite losing to Morocco on Tuesday night.
The Atlas Lions inflicted a 1-0 defeat on the Black Stars at the FAR Sportive Stadium courtesy of Jawad El-Yamiq’s strike in the 68th minute.
Despite losing the game, Akonnor indicated the team has improved compared to previous performance.
According to him, the target now is how they can attack and create chances to score and is confident the goals will gradually come.
“I am very, very happy. If you look at the understanding, the roles that each of the players played in the game, you compare yesterday’s game to our previous other games we didn’t see that and so I think speaking to the boys and telling them what I want satisfies me because they did show discipline which made me believe that when I talk to them they listen and Its good”
“What we need have to do now is how we will attack and how we will create chances to score and I think that will gradually come” he added.
Ghana will host Ivory Coast on Saturday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in another friendly.
