Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has officially launched a transformative women’s empowerment initiative in her hometown of Wassa Agona Amenfi, located in the Wassa Amenfi Central District.
The project, focused on training women in vegetable farming, aims to boost household incomes and promote sustainable livelihoods.

The first batch of participants gathered over the weekend for an inaugural meeting to mark the beginning of the nursery phase of their training. The program will provide hands-on skills in the cultivation of high-demand crops such as lettuce, cabbage, pepper, spring onions, and carrots.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and optimism as participants expressed heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity.

“We are deeply grateful for the vision Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has for us. This project is a real game-changer for women in this community,” said one participant.
The initiative underscores Hon. Cudjoe’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development and the economic empowerment of rural women. By equipping participants with agricultural skills, the project aims to foster independence, create employment, and enhance food security in the region.

With training now underway, the women are ready to plant the seeds—literally and figuratively—for a brighter, self-sufficient future.
