The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Okyere Panyin Eduamoah has tasked Assembly Members in the Region to police the use of internally generated funds of the assemblies to prevent misuse as a result of unnecessary workshops, as monies collected are to be used for developmental projects.
Additionally, he implored chiefs to always speak out their concerns rather than punishing government in power during election.
The Regional Minister said these during the confirmation of the DCE nominee for Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.
He hinted that if Assembly members and opinion leaders fail to protect and allocate lands for government business, the communities stand to loose, adding that it will be difficult for government to find land in Central Region for even cemetery in 10 years time.
The newly confirmed DCE who got 100% endorsement from the 68 members, Hon. Kojo Duodoo, expressed commitment to work to develop the district to be one of the in the country, noting that he would not consider party colors in the discharge of his duty.
