A 50-year-old chainsaw operator, Kweku Essuman, has met his untimely death after he was crushed by a tree he was cutting in a farm.
The incident occured at Tuesday, March 14 2023 in the evening around 4:30pm.
The deceased who hails from Assin Abodweseso in the Assin South District of the Central Region was hired by Kofi Shaibu a Farmer into his farm to cut down some trees as most farmers do when preparing their land for cultivation and unfortunately the incident happened.
“It is true that our brother has died as a result of the tree he was cutting felled on him and has killed him instantly Kofi Shaibu revealed to Bryt Fm News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah.
He said, this is not the first time such incident has happened.
The body of the deceased have been deposited at Assin Fosu St. Francis hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Meanwhile,the case have been reported to the Assin Nyankomasi Police Station for investigations.
