In an effort to contain the spread of cholera in the Central region, Prof. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, Ag. Director General, GHS, has called for a meeting with various stakeholders within the region on Monday, 3rd February, 2025.
He believes that fighting cholera calls for a collaborative approach between health and other sectors such as regional Cordinating Council, local government, water and sanitation, and traditional and religious leaders, hence the need to engage them.
This will be his first out of office trip after taking office just a few days ago, and it demonstrates his resolve to find solutions to some of the pressing public health issues the country is battling with presently.
