Authorities in Gomoa Akraman, a community in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region have debunked a shooting to kill a young man who through a clash died instantly after the entire community came face to face with one Rahman who happens to be a native of Awutu Beraku.
One person was shot dead, whereas several others sustained severe injuries at the spot after residents of the Gomoa Akraman community clashed with some suspected land guards who were said to have been undertaking an illegal demolishing exercise at the boundaries of the community and Awutu Beraku.
Safoahene of the Gomoa Akraman Community and a victim of the incident, Nana Kojo Arhin who sustained a cutlass wound explained what actually happened to Bryt Fm News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah.
Meanwhile, the Chief of the Gomoa Akraman Community, Nana Kwame Appiah(IV) appealed to the IGP to consider coming to their aid since what happened in his community was uncalled for, hence they can’t sit down for somebody to come and claim ownership of their lands.
