The Central Regional Police Command has mounted a manhunt for assailants who killed and abandoned mutilated body of a young woman in a bush on Gomoa Oguan to Gomoa Lome Road.
The yet to be identified deceased who was in her twenties was found naked and dead with both feets and hands chopped off and taken away by her assailants.
Speaking to Bryt FM News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah, former Assembly Member for the Area, Emmanuel Acher explained that he had a distress call to the effect that a young lady has been butchered to death. He said upon arrival at the scene he noticed both foots and lower arms have been chopped off.
He said Police were informed about the incident which investigators were dispatched and after taking inventories conveyed the body to the morgue pending further investigation.
Emmanuel Acher appealed to the government to rehabilitate the deplorable road to the community and also called on Ghana Police service to mount police barriers on the road to help fight crime.
He said the road is notorious for criminal activities as it has become safe haven for criminals.
