The Chief Executive Officer of Casa De Ropa, Mr Ebenezer Obeng-Baffoe, paid a courtesy call on the Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan at her office on Thursday.
As part of the meeting, the CEO briefed the minister on the successes the company has chalked as a beneficiary of the government’s One District One Factory (1D1F) initiative.
He also outlined the challenges confronting the smooth operation of the company and what government can do to mediate the situation.
In a brief remark, Hon. Marigold Assan assured him of the government’s immediate intervention to enhance the operations of the company.
In a related development, the Regional minister also received the Executive Director of the National Commission on Culture, Madam Janet Edna Nyame and her team.
The visit was to officially inform her of their preparedness for this year’s National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC).
NAFAC is a biennial event which offers a common platform for all sixteen (16) regions of Ghana to display their rich culture and traditions.
“It is refreshing to note that Cape Coast, the capital of the Central Region, will host this all-important national event.
The festival is slated for 17th to 27th November 2022″ she stressed.
Later in the day, the minister also paid a working visit to the Komenda Sugar Factory to assess the work done so far in bringing the factory into full operation.
She added, “Since my last visit on 6th June 2022, significant progress has been made to pave the way for the factory to begin operating”.
