A 30-year-old woman is battling to regain her sight after her boyfriend allegedly attacked her with acid.
Comfort Tawiah was bathed with the suspected acid on the face by her jilted boyfriend during a misunderstanding.
Sources reveal the sad incident that happened on Christmas day at Awutu Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
The suspect’s boyfriend Ishmael Atsitso Agbekoh popularly known as King Dugah stays in Kasoa while the victim stays at Awutu Bawjiase. They have a son.
However, the suspect has been accusing the victim of having a sexual relationship with other men hence the acid attack.
The mother of the Victim, Helena Mensah who is taking care of the injured daughter at the hospital appealed for financial support to help foot the medical bills of the victim.
Meanwhile, Police in Awutu Bawjiase have confirmed the incident stating that a complaint has been made hence efforts is underway to arrest the Suspect at large.
