A former Parliamentary Aspirant of the Awutu Senya East constituency of the Npp and the President of the Automobile Dealers Union of Ghana,Eric Kwaku Boateng has quit the NPP.
The decision to leave the NPP according to Eric Kwaku Boateng is because of the current depreciation of the cedi against the US dollar.
The former NPP member who could not fathom how the dollar to the cedi should be $1 to Ghc15.5,believes the Npp has disappointed the business and trading community and that it did not made sense for him to continue to be with the Npp especially as he is a businessman and day in and day out his working capital is being eroded because of bogus policies of the current government.
When asked whether he will join any other party to fight the Npp in election 2024,Eric Kwaku Boateng mentioned that with Afafranto and for that matter Alan contesting,he believes he and his members could work for him to become President and change the current terrible situation.
Mr.Eric Boateng who spoke to Mac Jerry on Neat Fm believes is time for Ghanaians to look at who can better manage the economy and not who is contesting on which political party’s ticket.
Eric Boateng joins many Npp sympathizers who continues to leave the party daily because of the bad management of the economy.
