A 28-year old Mobile Money vendor, Brother Michael is in critical condition and receiving treatment at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital after two suspected armed robbers on motorbike shot him in front of a public toilet at Gomoa Budumburam (Liberia Camp) Zone 11 in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The incident happened around 5am early hours of Friday while the victim was attending nature’s call before going to start his normal work.
The robbers were said to have shot the victim twice before taken away his money and later even robbed the toilet caretaker.
Speaking to Bryt Fm News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah, the toilet operator at Buduburam Zone Eleven (name withheld), the suspected robbers on motorbike attacked them minutes after the victim came there to ease himself.
Meanwhile, Unit Committee members at Gomoa Buduburam says their lives are in danger and calling on the security agencies to come to their aid and also beef up security in the area.
