The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a 52 percent increase in prize money for the upcoming Women’s Champions League.
The winner of this year’s Women’s elite competition will receive 600,000 dollars, while the runner-up will take home 400,000 dollars.
Meanwhile, each of the eight participating teams are expected to receive 150,000 dollars to aid their preparation for the competition.
The CAF Women’s Champions League was introduced by President Dr. Patrice Motsepe back in 2021.
The recent move by CAF stem from their commitment to growing Women football on the continent.
Unfortunately, no Ghanaian club will participate in the upcoming Champions League competition this year after Hasaacas Ladies fell short in their bid to qualify for the tournament.
The 2024 Women’s Champions League has been scheduled to take place in Morocco this year.
Below is the revised Prize Money:

Runner-Up – 400,000 dollars
3rd Place – 350,000 dollars
4th Place – 300,000 dollars
