Ghana champions Samartex have been paired against Cameroonian champions Victoria United in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Timber giants are set for their maiden participation in the CAF elite competitions after triumphing in the Ghana Premier League campaign.
Samartex emerged as champions in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign, dethroning, Medeama.
During a draw ceremony in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday, the Timber giants were paired against Victoria United in the preliminary round.
Samartex will play their home leg at the Accra Sports Stadium after settling on the said venue for their games.
The preliminary round games will be played next month. The winner between Samartex and Victoria United will face either ASGNN of Niger or Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic in the second round in September.
