Veteran Ghanaian coach JE Sarpong has offered advice to Medeama ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League game against Horoya AC on Saturday.
The Ghanaian champions are away to the Guinean giants as they seek to progress to the money zone.
The Yellow and Mauves holds the advantage after recording a 3-1 win at the Cape Coast Stadium in the first leg clash on September 7.
In an interview, the former Kotoko and Hearts of Oak coach urged the Ghanaian outfit not to adopt a defensive approach against Horoya AC.
“In Africa we don’t have advantage at home or away, the way you approach the game tactically and the approach you adopt when you are going away to play” he said.
“If you go there and you try to sit back, you are in trouble. So I expect Medeama SC to open up and play and face them one on one” he said continued.
The veteran coach advised the team to play a more open game rather than to sit back and defend and absorb the pressure.
“They will be able to qualify and come back but when they sit back and try to absorb pressure with the view that they will go on counter, you don’t know the Arsenal of those people you are going to play”.
