CAF and the AFCON 2025 Local Organizing Committee have confirmed key regulations following Wednesday’s Zoom meeting with all 24 teams.
Key decisions are that, each nation can register a maximum of 28 players — selected from their 55-man preliminary squad, 17 staff members allowed — including technical, administrative & medical personnel.
Other decisions includes;
- Teams can arrive in Morocco up to 5 days before the opening ceremony to ensure smooth preparation.
- Clubs must release players by December 8 — mandatory under FIFA approval.
The meeting also covered: visas for officials, training camps, team hotels, media & marketing, doping & medical regulations, conduct with referees and commercial matters.
