Ghanaians have lamented over the fifth conference of Pan African International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender (LGBT), which would be held in Accra on the 27th to 31st July in the country’s capital to improve human rights of individuals on all grounds, including sexual orientation, gender identity and expression with sex characteristics.
Having sex with the other opposite Sex in Ghana is considered abomination which violently offends the culture, morality and heritage of the country.
During an interview with Bryt FM’s reporter Abba Kwegyirba Aggrey, a section of the public averred that homosexual activities are illegal in the West African countries which includes Ghana.
According to them, majority of the youth will adopt this behaviour which will end up having a negative impact on them leading to a great increase of homosexuality when this conference is allowed to be held in the country.
They indicate that many people have encountered real dangers such as infertility, HIV/ AIDS, losing of reputations, jobs, or being disowned by their own families when being associated with the practising of homosexuality.
The head pastor of the Musama Disco Christo Church in Koforidua joined in the train saying that “It has been cited in Leviticus 18:22 “Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; doing that is a detestable” hence if anyone already has this sexual behaviour, kindly seek for physiological treatment.
Therefore, urging the government should not allow Pan Africans to have their conference in the country.
