Candidates who are currently writing the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the New Juaben South Municipality were excited over the questions by West Africa Examinations Council Candidates.
The Candidates after writing their English paper expressed their happiest over the paper, expecting to get good grades and come out with flying colures in their result.
Some candidates who were writing at Koforidua Senior High Technical School (SECTECH) and New Juaben Senior High School (NJUASCO) shared their thoughts from the examination with Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon of Koforidua based Bryt FM.
Mr Daniel Nii Akwai, Supervisor for Examination Center B at Koforidua Senior High Technical School, said that six hundred and twenty-eight candidates (628) were placed to write their exam at SECTECH.
Mr Nii Akwai instructed the candidates to give their best by attaining excellent grades in their results.
Supervisor for Examination Center B at New Juaben Senior High School (NJUASCO), Okyere Thomas Kwame also indicated that the supervisors will ensure a smooth and successful examination process for all candidates and provides the candidate’s projected environment.
Personnel’s from Ghana Police Service were present at the various examination centers in the Municipality.
In an earlier statement by the Ghana Education Service indicated that a total of 53,264 candidates are set to take the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Eastern Region.
26,829 boys and 26,435 girls from both public and private schools will sit for the exam.
The public schools have a total of 44,808 candidates, made up of 22,695 boys and 22,113 girls. Private schools have a total of 8,456 candidates, comprising 4,134 boys and 4,322 girls.
The candidates will be writing the exam in 2,118 centers across the region, with 1,524 public schools and 594 private schools participating.
