Head coach of Central Africa Republic Rauol Savoy believes poor officiating played a part in their defeat to the Black Stars during the final round of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
On Thursday, the Black Stars secured a 24th AFCON qualification following a hard-fought win over Central Africa Republic.
The much-anticipated game played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday ended 2-1 in favour of the host.
The visitors opened the scoring in the first but Mohammed Kudus brought Ghana back into the game after scoring a beautiful free-kick.
Ghana showed resilience and grab the match winner through Lyon attacker Ernest Nuamah, his debut goal for the national team.
At the post-match conference, Rauol Savoy expressed his side didn’t deserve to lose whiles he blame the Kenyan referee for their crashing defeat.
“I’m very proud of my players. We played better than Ghana and didn’t deserve to lose”
“I think we should have finished this game with a 1-1 draw, you qualify but we don’t lose. I think the second goal was offside clearly, we know the referee is your winner. We knew the referee would help you guys and he did it” he said
