The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Mark Badu-Aboagye and thirteen (13) others were sworn in by the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Hon. Herbert Krapa to Steer the National Export Development Strategy (NEDs).
The Committee which is chaired by Ministry of Trade and Industry, Moti – Ghana Chief Director, Mr. Patrick Nimo is expected to guide and oversee the implementation of the strategy.
Other members include; the CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of Ghana Free Zones Authority, Amb MIKE OQUAYE JNR., CEO of Food and Drugs Authority Ghana, Delese Mimi Darko, CEO of Ghana Export-Import Bank – EXIMBank Ghana, Lawrence Agyinsam, CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency, Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, and Marjorie Abdin of FAGE Ghana.
NEDs is an initiative led by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority in collaboration with about 125 public and private sector organisations, with the goal of generating approximately USD 25.3 billion from Ghana’s export sector by 2029.
