There was Chaos at Koforidua Cemetery as a group of violent men from the Koforidua timber market attacked bereaved family over burial of their colleague.
The mob from the timber Market led by one Kwabena Lawyer is said to have connived with the widow and attempted to hold a separate burial service for the late Nicholas Ohene alias Abode3 in the timber market without the consent of the larger bereaved family members alleging the family refused to support him when on sick bed for many years.
The bereaved family upon a tip-off that, the widow and timber market Marchants erected tents and hired spinners, bought coffin to hold separate burial service, dashed to the mortuary of St. Joseph Hospital to take the body and sent straight to the cemetery for burial.
The angry timber market workers mobilized with sticks and other implements and invaded the cemetery to attack the bereaved family particularly Sampson Ahunu, who was leading the burial in an attempt to stop the process but were resisted creating chaos at the cemetery.
The mob ambushed Sampson Ahunu in an attempt to beat him to a pulp as they surrounded his vehicle shortly after sitting to spark, deflate the back tyres but he managed to escape with the car with speed.
The mob subsequently warned to kill Sampson Ahunu. He has since been receiving death threats forcing him to report the threats on his life to the Police.
