Mr.George Agyepong Boateng, popularly known as the owner of the well-known Abosuo Chop Bar in Koforidua, has picked nomination forms to contest for the Vice Chairmanship position of the New Juaben South Constituency of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr. Boateng officially picked up the forms Monday as part of the party’s ongoing Constituency Executives Elections process aimed at reorganising and strengthening constituency structures.
Addressing supporters after filing his nomination, Mr. George Boateng pledged to work tirelessly to improve the electoral fortunes of the NPP in the constituency.
He stated that if elected, he would focus on strategies to help the NPP increase its vote margins in future elections while creating opportunities for young people within the party.
According to him, youth empowerment and grassroots mobilisation remain essential to rebuilding and strengthening the party ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
The New Patriotic Party has officially opened nominations for its Constituency Executives Elections as part of efforts to reorganise and strengthen its constituency structures.
The nomination exercise runs from Monday, June 22, to Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Vetting of aspirants will take place from June 25 to June 27, while appeals from dissatisfied aspirants will be handled between June 28 and June 30.
The Poll notices will be issued from July 2 to July 5 ahead of the Constituency Executives Elections scheduled for July 11 and July 12, 2026.
