The Koforidua Area Head of The Church of Pentecost Apostle Mike Etrue, supported by District Pastors and backed by Elder Mireku led a powerful intercessory prayer for Ghana’s wobbling economy on Monday, October 25, 2022.
The church dedicated its weekly prayer program dubbed “Municipal Prayers” held every Monday evening, to intercede for Ghana.
Prayers were said for the manifold wisdom of God upon leaders of the country and the three arms of government to take critical decisions to save the economy from sinking.
Apostle Mike Etrue said praying for Ghana must not be politicised and that, economic crises affect all.
Speaking on the theme for the prayers “I sort for a man/woman to make a wall and stand in the gap” gleaned from Ezekiel 22:29-31, Apostle Mike Etrue said Ghana needs an Ezekiel in this difficult time.
Apostle Etrue said politicians are bereft of ideas to fix the economic quagmire of the country and hence need the direction and intervention of God.
Ghana is facing serious economic challenges leading to high inflation and depreciation of the cedis affecting the cost of living.
The country is currently in negotiation with IMF for debt restructuring and sustainability programs to help stabilise the economy.
