Ghana Cocoa Board Chief Executive, Dr. Ransford Abbey, has reiterated the Board’s dedication to a sustainable cocoa industry during a meeting with Mr. Peter Feld, CEO of Barry Callebaut.
Dr. Abbey emphasised the importance of transparency, stakeholder collaboration, crop financing and protecting national interests.
He also addressed efforts to combat illegal mining on cocoa lands.
Mr. Feld applauded COCOBOD’s efforts and highlighted the importance of supporting smallholder farmers, strengthening partnerships, and preserving cocoa farmlands.
