A Cyber Analyst, Joseph Quaye has urged IPhone users to brace themselves with the expenses that iPhone brings.
He said this to respond to the report that WhatsApp will stop working on certain android and iPhone versions all over the world starting from November 2021.
According to him, in an interview with Abena Opokua Ahwenee on Dadi FM, he stated that the initiative is nothing new since most of the phones are out of the system and people don’t use them anymore.
“This is nothing serious, it’s just that most of the phones they listed are out of the system and a lot of people don’t use it anymore so it’s just right that WhatsApp stops working on them”, he said.
He also stressed those iPhone users who fall within the red line should swap their phones to match the versions that will enable them to use the software.
“We all know iPhones are expensive so if you want to use them then you should know that you will spend on them. If you don’t fall within the versions they want then you should add up and get a newer version”, he said.
He also encouraged that phone users will update their phones to recent versions to stifle hacking activities because a phone with a lower version can easily be hacked.
“This is not even only about WhatsApp because hackers can easily hack into your account if you are still stuck on lower versions of your phone or use old versions of the phones”.
