The Parliamentary Select Committee on Human Rights, on the last day of its visits to witch camps in Northern Ghana, held a Stakeholder meeting with some CSOs (Amnesty International, Action Aid, Oxfam, Songtaba) for the purpose of debriefing and presenting its preliminary findings and recommendations.
Bushira Alhassan, Regional Director of the Department of Gender and Inusah Iddrisu, Representative from the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), commended the Committee and CSOs for their excellent work.
They assured the Committee and CSOs of their unwavering support in the fight for justice and the enforcement of human rights.
Hon. Elvis Dapaa (Vice-Chairman), Hon. Anthony Mwinkaara Sumah (Deputy Ranking), Hon. Alfred Ashey, Hon. Frank Bekoe, and Hon. Linda Ocloo delivered presentations on the significance of raising community awareness in the struggle against injustice and the imperative of upholding human rights.
