The Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh joined the President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Accra International Conference Center on 4th October 2023 as Ghana hosts this year’s Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference and Workshop.
The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, previously known as the Empire Parliamentary Association, is an organisation which works to support good governance, democracy and human rights.
This year, which marks the 66th assembly of the Commonwealth Parliamentary delegates charts a deeper national discourse on democratic governance and the rule of law across the Commonwealth region.
The conference saw dignitaries such as the Speaker of Parliament, Rt.Hon Alban K.S. Bagbin, Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Getrude Torkornoo, some ministers of state, members of council of state and members of the diplomatic community.
