The Italian Embassy in Accra hosted a colourful reception on Friday, 30th May, 2025 to commemorate Italy’s National Day, marking the anniversary of the founding of the Italian Republic.
The event brought together high-ranking officials from the Government of Ghana, including the Minister for Communication, Digital and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), who attended in a show of solidarity and to reaffirm the commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Also in attendance were the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Hon. Emilia Louisa Arthur, and the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini and other officials
In her welcome address, the Italian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Daniela d’Orlandi, reaffirmed the strong and growing partnership between Italy and Ghana.
She highlighted key areas of bilateral cooperation, including education, trade, technology, and cultural exchange.
Hon. Samuel Nartey George engaged potential investors and explored opportunities for mutually beneficial collaborations in the digital and innovation sectors.
The evening featured a rich display of Italian culture, cuisine, and music, celebrating the enduring friendship and shared values between the two nations
