The Minister for Communications and Digitalization, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Her Excellency Grace Jeanet Mason, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr. Selorm Adadevoh, and the Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye participated in a virtual sod-cutting for the construction of a Ghana ICT Hub, the largest Information and Communications Technology hub in Ghana.
The Ghana Digital Centres Limited has allocated all of its space and attained a 100% occupancy rate, according to Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, who also noted that many other tech companies are still looking for space at the center.
This building, in my opinion, will significantly advance Ghana’s current digital efforts to improve the country’s standing within the sub-region and the continent, and it will be the catalyst for the country’s first unicorn.
This project is being undertaken at a time when GDCL is stepping up its collaborations with important stakeholders to create specialized infrastructure for driving innovation and opening doors that will hasten the growth of digital ventures, fill the employment gap, and boost entrepreneurship in the nation.
