Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori says he and his teammates are determined to write their names in the history books of Orlando Pirates by winning the trophy over RS Berkane.
Pirates secured qualification to the final of this year’s Confederations Cup after beating Al Ahli Tripoli in the semifinal.
Ofori’s outfit will face Moroccan side RS Berkane in the final on May 20, 2022.
Speaking to the media in South Africa, the 2nd vice-captain of the Black Stars expressed he and his teammates are determined to write their names in the history books of the club by winning the trophy over RS Berkane.
“The CAF journey has been very good but it was not easy. Sometimes we would spend around 15 hours travelling,” Ofori told reporters on Tuesday.
“Things have not been as good in the PSL, but we have shifted our focus to the CAF competition and to make ourselves and the country proud by winning it,” continued Ofori.
“People remember the winners. People know those who make history by winning the trophy. We want to make history for ourselves and to be remembered as the guys who won this trophy for this big club,” he concluded.
