The confirmation of persons nominated to be considered by Assembly members to serve as chief executives for the various Assemblies across the country has begun.
The confirmation is expected to end before 10th October 2021.

Assembly Members of the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly have confirmed Alhaji Mohammed Ababio Quaye as the Municipal Chief Executive for a second term.
Alhaji Quaye, who had been nominated by President Akufo-Addo to serve another term secured the votes of all 17 Assembly Members, including 12 elected and five government appointees, in an exercise supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission on Monday (September 17) in Accra.
The 35 Assembly members of the Akyemansa District in the Eastern Region have confirmed the President’s nominee, Mr. Paul Asamoah, as the District Chief Executive (DCE) with 100 percent votes.
The nominee for the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA), Chief Executive Position, Mr. Ernest Arthur has been rejected by the assembly members.
In a vote for his endorsement on Monday (September 27), he polled 34 out of 65 valid votes cast.
Assembly members of the Yendi Municipal Assembly have rejected President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s Municipal Chief Executive Nominee for the area, Alhaji Ahmed Yussuf Abubakar.
The assembly members, at an election to approve or reject the nominee on Friday, September 24, 2021, did not give Alhaji Abubakar the adequate number of votes to get him approved.
On Monday, 27th September 2021, Assembly Members of the Klottey Korley Municipal assembly confirmed Adjei Tawiah, the President’s nominee for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position.
He secured the votes of all 16, representing 100%, Assembly Members in an exercise supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission (EC).
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee for Chief Executive of the Okere District, Daniel Nana Addo Kenneth, has been confirmed by the assembly members.
Mr. Addo Kenneth polled all 33 votes, representing 100 percent of votes cast.
Assembly Members of the Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly on Monday approved the nomination of Mr. George Cyril Bray as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) unanimously.
The MCE nominee secured all sixteen votes in support of his nomination.
The Akontombra District Assembly in the Western North Region has confirmed Mr. Yawson Amoah as the District Chief Executive.
All the twenty elected and appointed assembly members present voted YES representing 100 percent in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission.
Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan, the Central Regional Minister, has applauded the Effutu Assembly for exhibiting a high sense of patriotism by overwhelmingly endorsing the President’s nominee for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position.
Alhaji Zubeiru Kasim, a businessman, had all the 25 Assembly members, including eight Government Appointees, endorsing his nomination at Winneba during a special meeting.
The Asokwa Municipal Assembly has confirmed Mr. Akwannuasah Gyimah, the President’s nominee for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position.
He secured the votes of all 18 Assembly Members, including 12 elected and six government appointees, in an exercise supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission.
