Mybrytfmonline.com can confirm that the New Juaben North Parliamentary Candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, has died.
Some Constituency executives confirmed to mybrytfmonline.com that Sampson Oti Boateng died Wednesday morning.
The 42-year-old Pharmacy Technician defeated a former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for West Akim in the Rawlings regime, Emmanuel Kwaku Asante, by 316 to 229 during the NDC Primaries last year to emerge the Parliamentary candidate
The cause of death is not known but information gathered indicate he was ill before the Parliamentary primaries but recovered and was carrying out house to house campaign before his passing away.
He was expected to file his nomination form on Thursday ahead of the EC deadline.
The NDC may have to quickly nominate a candidate to replace the deceased Candidate within 24 hours.
