Combat 23-patrol team from the Greater Accra Regional capital-Accra and the Kasoa Divisional Patrol team have arrested Detective Corporal Michael Larbie of CID headquarters for being the main brain behind the March 07, 2020 shootings at the Ofaakor Palace, which led to four being hospitalized.
Confirming the incident to Mybrytfmonline’s Central regional Correspondent, DSP Irene Oppong said, the detective with police number 43967 doubles as the boundary chief and the ‘Tufohene’ of Ofankor.
DSP Irene assures the public of finding the underlying cause of the issue and bringing to custody all involved.
DSP Irene Serwaa Oppong has further stated that Detective Corporal Michael Larbie will be put under investigations.
About The Incident
Detective Corporal Michael Larbie with number 43967of the CID headquarters on March 07, 2020, was involved in the shooting incident which happened over the weekend at Kasoa Odupong Ofaakor in the Central Region where a group of individuals numbering about 20 attacked the Ofaakor Palace demanding for the body of the late Akyeamehene of Ofaakor, Nana Kojo Amoashie(ii).
The said shooting incident led to four being wounded and hospitalized currently.
It was circulating that this alleged gang leader was said to be a police officer working at the Homicide department of the Ghana Police Service.
Bryt FM News sources say the Police officer Detective Corporal Michael Larbie is said to have led a group of individuals into the palace during the traditional ceremony to create mayhem and demand for the body of the late Akyeamehene.
