The Ghana Premier League will now be played by eighteen Clubs after Congress agreed to amend its statutes by increasing its numbers to 124.
A decision was made during Thursday’s ordinary Congress where the Clubs voted to have two additional teams for the elite division.
The Ghana FA 25th Ordinary Congress is currently ongoing in Prampram.
Already Great Olympics and King Faisal had been reinstated for the 2019/20 season.
However, the amendment means that the decision will be permanent hence the domestic top-flight will be played by eighteen teams instead of the initial sixteen.
Also, three teams will be demoted at the end of the season instead of five.
